Early Completion Option:
A truly innovative program, our Early Completion Option allows you to earn your preliminary credential in as little as 9 months.

- Waive most traditionally required teacher-education coursework

If you prefer a more conventional approach, this program is for you.
- Study theory and pedagogy while preparing to teach
- Choose a part-time or full-time course load of evening classes
- Successfully complete all state-mandated exams and coursework, including a semester of student teaching
- Earn credential and master’s degree and then enter the classroom with full salary and benefits
This approach combines real-life teaching and the full complement of graduate coursework simultaneously; a blend of the two programs above.
- Locate a paid teaching position
- At the same time complete requirements toward a California teaching credential and master’s degree
- Successfully complete about 35 units of Alliant graduate education coursework, in the evening and online
Intern Special Education Program: San Francisco (Other Locations May Form)
Starting in fall 2008, we are offering three-semester / 30 unit, exceptional Intern Program for the special education teacher. This CCTC-approved Education Specialists for the mild to moderately disabled student program culminates in the recommendation for:

the Preliminary / Level I Education Specialists (Mild / Moderate Disabilities) Credential,
-
the Preliminary Teaching Credential for Multiple Subjects, and
-
the Master of Arts in Education (MAE) degree.
The program will be offered in San Francisco, and may be offered at other Alliant Campuses (San Diego, Los Angeles, Fresno, Sacramento or Irvine/Orange County) if potential student interest warrants forming a cohort.
MA in Education with an Emphasis in Teaching : Online and Mexico City
For the practicing credentialed teacher, Alliant offers its 100% online master’s degree program.
- Specifically designed for classroom teachers who wish to advance their teaching skills and abilities
- Strives to enhance the analytical, theoretical and professional foundations that equip graduates with the skills necessary to become leaders among teachers
- Includes preparation for the National Board Certification
While being offered online, this program can also be taken at our Mexico City Campus.
